Hope everyone is having a good leadup into the Holiday's.
We are going to go to the Rapid City, SD area over the holidays to become residents of South Dakota while we travel. The tax structure and insurance costs are very good up there. We already have a mailing address for Rapid City. Just need to get driver license and voting registration taken care of.
We have put our house on the market right before Thanksgiving. Always a pain in the butt to keep the house clean for showings! But we have had about 5 or 6 showings in 3 weeks, no offers but a few were interested. We really hope to have an offer by the end of the year, keep your fingers crossed!
We have sold a lot of our toys.
The Moto Guzzi V65SP went to a lady in the Dallas area. She contacted a transport company to deliver it for her. It was a neat setup he had in a 53' trailer, said it would hold 30 - 40 bikes. The transport company picked the bike up on 10/26 the day after my knee reconstruction, I managed to get in one last ride around the neighborhood right before they arrived.
The Samuria went to a gentleman in Pheonix, he drove up to Moab and we met him there to complete the sale. Really nice guy, I am happy the Sami is going to someone who will use it for what it was built for.
Our 1998 Dodge Ram is going to a young kid that is a mechanic in the Grand Valley area, new a lot about Cummins Rams. Another nice guy to sell to.
My 2003 DRZ400S and our 1993 Yamaha Riva 125XC are going to a guy in Chadron, Nebraska. We are going to deliver these over the holidays when we go to South Dakota.
Marnie's 2000 Kawasaki Super Sherpa is going to a fellow in SoCal. We will deliver it when we get on the road. He is buying it for his daughter to go riding with him, awsome to learn of another girl getting into motorcycling.
Also we are buying a new Dodge Ram 2500, we wanted something that would be reliable for the next 10 years.
We were going to order exactly what we wanted, it would have taken up to 8 weeks. We even placed the special order. Then the dealer did a search and found almost exactly what we wanted in the Denver area. So we get it a few weeks sooner, Yay!
Hope next months installment finds us out on the road!
